Coated steel is an umbrella term for different applications. For example, the substrate, coating, finish, and processing methods differ among a refrigerator door, a roofing sheet, a garage door, and a whiteboard.
The starting place for all recommendations is the design of the finished component. A visible appliance surface panel requires an anti-fingerprint painted surface. An exterior wall panel requires a coating that resists weather and substrate deterioration. A door slat requires a high degree of flexibility in a painted surface that can withstand forming. A writing board requires the surface to be erasable and functional. The application is the driver for the specification; the specification is not the driver for the application.
Since we control all of our coating and processing lines, we tailor the substrate, weight, paint system specifications, color, gloss, and supply format to match your product requirements.
